Benazir calls upon people to protest and oust Shariff (Bhutto referred in a statement to The Washington Post,  on 28 June 1999, the Rogue Army and the Terrorist State labels to Pakistan generated by the RVP ads, and slammed Pakistan for the Kargil adventure. The Washington Post, which carried the Rogue Army advertisement on 28 June 1999, carried an editoral on the subject the same day.)

Beating the enemy with advertisements (News item that appeared in The Indian Express, dated Friday, July 2, 1999. RVP kept the authorship of the Rogue Army campaign a secret for security reasons but ISI blew off the cover after Musharraf's Memoirs came out in September 2006. Only RVP was involved in the ad which he conceived, wrote and arranged for publication with the help of friends as co-sponsors. India League existed then as now on paper only and RVP used it only as an address, for the sake of the newspapers.)
